Mary has an encyclopaedic knowledge, and fantastic manner around horses. She took great care to find the specific bitting needs for the horse, along with extensively checking out various rules and regulations for both national and international competition. Mary has become an essential part of our team, using only extremely high quality bits and we are happy to recommend her to others."

Wilson was very resistant to accept the bit, he was in a French Link , and he kept moving the link with his tongue and was not able to settle to a contact. That made him strong in my hands, which in part caused cuts to the side of his mouth.
Due to this he was unwilling to work in an outline, and when it came to jumping he would run into the fence and flatten.
After following Marys advice,Wiilson is working more consistently on the bit and for jumping he is coming into a fence in a nice rhythm and he is rounding over the fence.

Mary Wastie came to see my mare Zarla in July 2013 after in depth discussions regarding her bitting and way of going. I felt Zarla was getting very tense in the contact as the intensity of the work and training increased, and this becoming more prominent in competition.
Mary came to see Zarla 'at home' and gave us her full attention at rest in the stable and ridden. She explained in great detail the conformation of the mouth and why I was getting the tension during the ridden work as this was due to the action of the current bit. She suggested we put Zarla into the Harmony Eggbutt snaffle and explained the reasoning behind this, the way in which this bit is designed and actions in the horses mouth. A work plan and transitioning period was devised and the importance of this explained fully, to enable Zarla and I enough time to get used to her new bit.
Zarla has gone from strength to strength and I could not recommend Mary highly enough. Mary continues to support me in any questions I have and has been to see Zarla more recently in training.

I was introduced to Mary by Aimee Strang My dressage coach. After a bad riding accident I decided to re train myself and my horse in dressage the horse being a 10 year old ex stallion that had bitting issues after wolf teeth extractions. He couldn't cope with metal in his mouth he was tense and evasive We struggled to get bits that were dressage legal and none metal that he would go in.. I was at desperation point as the bitting issues were seriously holding us back. Mary came and assessed Tyson and very quickly managed to put a weymouth set together that was not only metal but suited him. He started to relax. Go in an outline and concentrate .. if you have any bitting issues it's well worth getting Mary out only wish I'd done it 2 years ago would have saved me a fortune in different bits
